Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring Training Carrick on Shannon

There is widespread acknowledgement of the challenges facing Volunteer and Community organisations regarding recruitment, retention and performance management of Volunteers.  Managers need to develop and use an appropriate leadership style and to know when to utilize their Coaching or Mentoring skills to best effect.

The aim of this training proposal is:

To provide an overview of Leadership styles and to discern when to deploy different styles

To distinguish between Mentoring and Coaching and explore when each is appropriate

To practice Coaching skills and understand the key Coaching skill of ‘holding the client accountable’

This 3 hour training programme will be interactive and practice based with an emphasis on skills development. Participants will be expected to participate actively and to give and receive feedback
